The executive director of Town Development Fund Mr. Maniram Singh Mahat and the chairperson of Beni-Parbat Water User and Sanitation Committee (WUSC)”, Mr. Loknath Regmi signed a loan agreement of NRs. 26,204,500.00 for “Parbat Beni Sahalagani Khanepani tatha sarsafai Aayojana, Parbat” under the Co-financing Water Supply and Sanitation Project on 28 August 2018 (BS 2075/05/12) at Town Development Fund Office, Kathmandu. The total loan amount is 25% of the contract cost of NRs.104, 818,000.00. The rest 70% will be provided by the Government of Nepal through co-financing project and the remaining 5% will be the matching fund contributed by WUSC as an upfront cash.
The project delineation of service area covers 4 wards (2, 3, 7 and 8) of existing Mallaj Majhphant rural municipality with 24 hours continuous supply of potable water, as recommended by Nepal Drinking Water Quality Standard (NDWQS) guidelines. The project will directly benefit the population of 7,256 living in 955.00 households now, fulfilling the estimated demand. The major components of the project includes Sump Well, Operator / Guard House, Office Building, Generator Shed, Radial Collector, Sump Well, Boundary Wall with barbed wire fencing, Entrance Gate, Ground Reservoir (400m3), Plain Sedimentation Tank, Slow sand filter, Pipe Valve Chamber, Concrete Valve Chamber, House connection, excavation and backfilling, Pipe laying & joining, Fire Hydrant, Anchor Block (Thrust Block), Distribution Pipe, Transmission Pipe, Pipe fittings, Tools and Equipment, Electrical works including HT /LT lines, cables, DBs, d lighting arrangement. The project is expected to be completed by BS 2076/03/20.
